Ethics and Employees
According to a former ethics officer of a large manufacturing company, employees tended to view attempts to introduce ethics programs, with suspicion and resentment. That would certainly be true if the program were unreal, which would be the case if the authors of the program did not consult the understanding and opinions of the organization's people. It could be said that ethics is understanding. It is not something that can be enforced from the outside. It must originate from the individual. So we get to know you, your management, your employees, your company and its products, policies and goals, to ensure that programs we create for you will be real, and of genuine practical use to you. For that reason, part of every program is education in ethics fundamentals, and training in application. |
